Electrical Estimator

Vital Energi Utilities Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic Work Winning team in London. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial part in winning new projects by preparing accurate prime cost estimates for the Electrical components of our bids.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Estimating team with Electrical bids and tenders, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Prepare and submit prime cost estimates using Enterprise Estimating Software, leveraging your expertise in Electrical estimating.
- Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates, resolving any issues that may arise.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Support and mentor junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Monitor targets and workflow, ensuring efficient project management and timely delivery.
- Control and organise tender documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Track and report on analytics using various reporting tools, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
- Experience working for a Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor, with a strong understanding of Electrical estimating principles.
- Proficiency in using estimating software packages such as Trimble, with the ability to prepare and submit prime cost estimates.
- Experience in budget/cost planning, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to analyse and present complex data.
- Experience in preparing and submitting prime cost estimates using Trimble Estimating Software, with a strong understanding of Electrical estimating software.
