Job Description

Partnership Development Officer (Esk & Coastal Streams)

The North York Moors National Park Authority is seeking a highly skilled Partnership Development Officer to join our team in support of work on the River Esk and coastal streams. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building and strengthening the Catchment Partnership and promoting the catchment as a national example of effective partnership and river restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of our new Esk & Coastal Streams Management Plan
  • Build and strengthen the Catchment Partnership, promoting the catchment as a national example of effective partnership and river restoration
  • Oversee the engagement programme across the catchment, managing our REConnect project
  • Identify opportunities to improve health, wellbeing, and access to nature
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create compelling content, manage funding plans, and ensure compliance with governance, financial regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Line manage the Engagement Officer (REConnect Project)
  • Develop and implement a delivery plan to achieve the Esk & Coastal Stream Catchment Management Plan aims and objectives
  • Identify restoration opportunities
  • Support with Catchment Based Approach (CaBA) requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience of co-ordinating partnership governance
  • Experience delivering inspiring engagement to a wide range of audiences
  • Experience working in rural areas with land managers, volunteers, partner organisations, and communities in implementing nature recovery engagement projects
  • Experience of line management
  • Experience securing match funding
  • An understanding of current issues facing rural areas
  • Strong report writing and research skills
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
