We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Aviation Workshop Supervisor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee the progress of jobs issued by the Workshop Manager, ensuring efficient use of staff, equipment, and resources.
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager to discuss daily requirements and provide regular updates on potential issues, timescales, and materials.
- Conduct pre- and final inspections on all workshop components to ensure adherence to correct processes and standards.
- Communicate findings to relevant departments and act as a technical expert in the workshop, advising staff on tasks and sharing knowledge.
- Ensure work instructions, materials, and tooling are in place for night shift requirements.
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager to assist with ad-hoc requirements and ensure departmental compliance with MOE, POE, CAA, and EASA regulations.
- Monitor performance and overtime of direct reports and take appropriate action.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives with the Workshop Team.
- Cover Workshop Manager absences as necessary to minimize disruption to daily workshop activity.
- Action workshop non-conformances and promote a healthy occurrence reporting system.
Requirements:
- Previous Workshop Supervisory experience within a busy component MRO facility.
- Experience in aircraft maintenance and repair, including environmental line maintenance and component workshops.
- Knowledge of procedures and ability to read and understand manufacturers' manuals and technical drawings.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to deliver instruction, training, and knowledge.
- A full UK driving license is essential.
