Job Description

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, working closely with the care team to ensure that our high standards of care are consistently met.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to ensure that outstanding care is delivered at all times.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and ancillary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Engage in meaningful activities with residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments, ensuring regular updates and reviews.

**Requirements:**

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable.
