Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, working closely with our care team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

About the Role:

  • As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting a team of Care Assistants to deliver outstanding care and support to our residents.
  • You will work closely with the Home Manager and other Senior Care Assistants to ensure the smooth operation of the care home.
  • You will engage with residents in meaningful activities, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect.
  • You will be involved in creating person-centred care plans and risk assessments, working closely with the care team to ensure the successful delivery of outstanding care.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant with an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
  • Experience in a nursing or care home, or as a home care worker.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
  • Knowledge and practice of working with people suffering from dementia is desirable.
  • Previous experience prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is desirable, with full training and support provided.
