WasteRecruit Ltd is seeking to appoint a Commercial Growth Manager.

In collaboration with the Head of Commercial Development and Business Development Coordinators, you will spearhead the execution and finalization of a comprehensive sales pipeline, driving expansion in alignment with the commercial budget.


The goal is to broaden the business from integrated waste management solutions to encompass soft facilities management services over the next few years.

Your responsibilities will include establishing a solid sales pipeline, generating new commercial leads, closing sales opportunities, developing key targets and accounts, mobilizing new sales, and collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Manager to contribute to PR and marketing activities; implementing modern digital sales strategies alongside other related sales and marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and ownership in crafting and executing sales initiatives that will attract new clients and support the retention and growth of existing customers.
  • Driving the sales strategy into a broader integrated services business that offers waste management and soft facilities management solutions.
  • Developing and executing capture plans and key account strategies for new clients to foster profitable business growth.
  • Preparing, producing, and presenting service solutions through proposals, costings, digital formats, and other methods.
  • Establishing and maintaining a robust sales funnel of opportunities in accordance with business plans and strategies.
  • Utilizing modern digital, social sales, and telesales methods and tools to stimulate high volumes of quality lead generation.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Growth Marketing Manager to lead the development and implementation of sales plans, market research, and information dossiers for assigned business activities and new key targets.
  • Contributing to the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, websites, and digital content using an integrated approach.
  • Working with Transport Managers and other business partners to promote a cohesive approach across the organization.
  • Developing modern sales toolkits to continuously enhance the business development function.
  • Supporting related business activities such as team development, recruitment, and operational functions.
  • Producing reports, presentations, and participating in business meetings as required.

Essential qualifications include:

  • High-quality IT skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, cloud-based CRM systems, digital marketing, and social selling applications.
  • Ability to create high-quality proposal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations from scratch.
  • Significant experience with social and network selling methods using B2B applications.
  • Experience in establishing and utilizing a cloud-based sales CRM and effective databases.
  • Several years of experience in integrated facilities management or waste management sectors.
  • Experience in a dynamic sales environment with a focus on field sales or key account management.
  • Proficiency in lead generation activities using telesales and digital methods.
  • Experience with modern CRM systems for pipeline and key account management.
  • Experience working with large multi-million-pound businesses, sales structures, processes, and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to generate innovative ideas and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • Exceptional management, organization, and prioritization skills for multiple tasks and communication at executive levels.
