About this Opportunity:

Ericsson is seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team as a Regional EHS Specialist. This role will play a key part in establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving EHS policies, programs, and requirements within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for projects, promoting EHS to project stakeholders and implementing EHS strategy.
  • Drive a sustainable safety culture and advance employee well-being.
  • Ensure onsite activities are carried out in line with Ericsson's environmental sustainability objectives and EHS regulations.
  • Support risk management of projects and regions, maintaining project risk registers and assisting with task-specific risk assessments.
  • Coordinate and deploy resources to meet business needs and ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, managers, and contractors.
  • Support ongoing management of ASP relationships and review contractor management tools to ensure compliance.
  • Represent EHS matters in governance activities and provide regional oversight.
  • Establish and maintain good operational relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Promote and encourage incident reporting and lead team accident and incident investigations.
  • Proactively identify innovative solutions to mitigate risk and achieve environmental sustainability ambitions.
  • Provide internal training and toolbox talks on EHS topics and lessons learned.
  • Regularly report to management teams on EHS performance issues and achievements.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH certificate.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015) Regulations.
  • EHS internal/external audit experience (ISO:14001/45001).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to maintain relationships at all levels across stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in working in high-risk environments and with contractors and suppliers.
  • Awareness of hazards involved in construction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable leadership capability in handling and leading change in a large, complex organization.
