About this Opportunity:
Ericsson is seeking an experienced Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, programs, and requirements within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for projects, promoting EHS to stakeholders and implementing EHS strategies.
- Ensure onsite activities are carried out in line with Ericsson's MELA and Global environmental sustainability objectives.
- Support Risk Management of projects and regions, maintaining project risk registers and assisting with task-specific risk assessments.
- Coordinate and deploy resources to meet business needs and ensure compliance with health, safety, and well-being requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including UK EHS Team, Project Teams, and Managers.
- Support ongoing management of ASP relationships and review ASP contractor management tools to ensure compliance.
- Represent and lead EHS matters in governance activities, providing regional oversight and conducting audits and inspections.
- Promote and encourage personnel to report incidents, near misses, and safety suggestions.
- Lead Team Accident and Incident Investigation and complete Root Cause Analysis reports.
- Proactively identify innovative solutions to mitigate risk and achieve Environmental sustainability ambitions.
- Provide internal training and toolbox talks on EHS relevant topics.
- Regularly report to Management Team on EHS performance issues and achievements.
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
- Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH certificate.
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM 2015) Regulations.
- EHS Internal/External Audit experience (ISO:14001/45001).
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to maintain relationships at all levels across stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively assess EHS needs of customer engagements.
- Extensive experience in working in high-risk environments.
- Extensive experience working with contractors and suppliers.
- Awareness of hazards involved in construction.
- Excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills.
- Demonstrable leadership capability in handling and leading change in a large, complex organization.
