Deputy Manager - Children's Home

Are you an experienced deputy manager looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our children's home in Huddersfield.

About the Role

We are a 365-day-a-year service providing therapeutic care for young people who may struggle to live in a larger group home. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the home and providing support to our staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage staff working in a care role
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and expectations, relevant legislation, and Quality Standards
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of our young people
  • Collaborate with our team to provide a safe and supportive environment
  • Contribute to the development of our staff through training and support
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential care home (within the last 5 years)
  • At least 12 months in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
  • Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • A full, UK driving licence issued in the UK
  • Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
