Opus People Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Strategy Advisor to collaborate with the Senior Finance Business Partner. This role involves supporting the development of annual revenue forecasts, overseeing financial performance, and managing the year-end financial closure for two local authorities.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the Council's cash flow, banking operations, and money market activities, ensuring compliance with the Treasury Management policies of the respective authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating annual revenue forecasts.
- Engage with budget managers to understand their financial needs.
- Generate timely and relevant management reports for Service Managers, Heads of Service, and Directors.
- Provide financial guidance as requested by the Senior Finance Business Partner.
- Support Heads of Service and Directors in utilizing Financial Service systems.
- Prepare quarterly financial monitoring reports for the Corporate Management Team and Members.
- Contribute to the drafting of Committee reports.
- Conduct reconciliations between relevant financial systems.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial information to Members, Directors, Heads of Service, and Service Managers as needed.
- Participate in the activities related to the financial year-end closure and assist in preparing draft final accounts.
