Job Summary:

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. As an Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of detailed electrical design work packages, ensuring the on-time delivery of projects, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide a team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers to deliver high-quality electrical design work packages.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to develop solid delivery plans for electrical engineering and hardware design work packages.
  • Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of electrical engineering and hardware design resources.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve electrical design processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure the availability of high-quality resources to support peak demands.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing management and supervision to ensure processes, standards, and methodologies are aligned between departments.
  • Recruit, train, and develop Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design Engineers to meet the growing demands of the business.
  • Monitor team output and audit the quality of work to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time delivery.
  • Provide technical direction, embrace innovation, and ensure compliance with customer specifications and legal regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical delivery or management role.
  • Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
