Electrical Design Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join our team at Wentworth James Group. As a key member of our Automation and Systems Integration team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design work packages on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a small team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Collaborate with the Business Development and Applications teams to develop robust estimation norms and provide pre-sale technical support.
  3. Work with Project Managers to ensure solid delivery plans are in place for all Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design work packages.
  4. Develop and maintain Electrical Design processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  5. Recruit, train, and develop Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design Engineers to meet the growing demands of the business.
  6. Monitor team output and audit the quality of work to ensure best-in-class and right-first-time delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of BEng in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of 7 years in a relevant technical delivery or management role.
  3. Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
