Job Summary:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our well-established and forward-thinking Compliance team as an Auditor. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the individual will be responsible for Health, Safety, Security, 5s, and Environmental and Audit programme. As Compliance Auditor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting audits, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions. Tracking next steps and department implementation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and drive improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring business performance
• Enhance the current Audit Programme
• Lead strategic projects to demonstrate continual improvement
• Ensure that all records and documentation are accurate and in compliance with applicable regulations
• Carry out audits/reviews and report on non-conformances
• Conduct Environmental, Health & Safety training
• Prepare, manage, and maintain document systems for both external (Supplier Audits) and internal
• To interact with the supplier in the audit process and to provide them with regular updates on their progress, making corrective and or preventative actions as and when required
• Deliver high-quality responses to supplier issues and monitor supplier improvements
• Support with the ISO management systems
• Maintaining and updating department and site KPI information and ensuring accurate data reporting
• Travel on occasion to supplier sites both in the UK and Overseas to perform analysis of issues and to gain knowledge

Requirements:

• Health & Safety qualifications
• A deep understanding of industry-specific processes, policies, and regulations
• Experience in auditing environmental management systems
• Environmental management qualification
• Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Able to analyse complex data creatively to drive improvement activity
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise / report / present to Suppliers and internal staff at all levels
• A love of getting into the "heart of things." Auditors need to be passionate about uncovering the truth of what's going on. They don't settle for the easy answer or accept unverified information
• Strong people skills. Auditing is much more than paperwork—it's also about dealing with people to get the necessary information and then convincing them to take positive action
• Integrity. Able to be honest about the magnitude of risk, inefficiency, or other problems that come to their attention during audits

Desirable Qualifications:

• IEMA
• ISO 14001:2015 and or ISO45001:2018 Internal Auditor
• Experience or qualification in the management of chemical substances (COSHH)
• Experience in Manufacturing or Engineering Environment
• Member of IEMA and or IOSH(or similar professional body)
