Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction team based in Newton Abbot, South Devon, working on our HMP Channings Wood Prison project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Procurement Lead, Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS), and/or Commercial Leads in the commercial management and procurement of subcontract packages.
  • Assist the procurement team in producing package procurement documents as required, contributing to a streamlined and effective procurement process.
  • Implement policies, procedures, and standards for price, costs, and gross margins.
  • Financially manage (cash) projects and assist with the production of cashflows for the project.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have experience from a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Understanding of contract and business compliance in payment processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
