We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Barratt Developments. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager in the effective management of the Finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Finance Manager in the half-year end and year-end reporting and audit process
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliation
- Assist with accurate and robust forecasting and planning in line with Group requirements
- Liaise closely with Commercial team to manage project budgets and forecasts and subcontractor accounts
- Support payment processing to ensure an accurate and timely service, using the Group systems.
- Ensure accurate accounting for VAT, subcontractors tax and CITB payments as appropriate
- Support the continuous improvements and developments of reporting, procedures and governance
- Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures.
- A professionally qualified accountant or qualified by experience, ideally within the house-building sector.
- A strong team motivator with the drive and tenacity to achieve the goals of the business.
- Highly numerate with strong IT and financial analysis skills, coupled with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.
- Experience of managing budgets/cost control, and planning and organising work to meet targets.
- Able and willing to contribute a professional opinion to the overall management of the business.
- Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
