Job Title: Sustainability and Energy Manager

Join our team at Eden Brown as we seek a highly skilled Sustainability and Energy Manager to lead our Climate Change and Sustainability Team in Central London.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual to manage and develop all aspects of energy procurement, including tendering, contract management, and strategic energy market expertise. As our Sustainability and Energy Manager, you will play a key role in achieving our ambitious target of net zero by 2030 and delivering the council's Climate Action Plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the procurement of energy, including tendering, letting, and contract management
  • Act as the council's strategic energy market expert for gas and electricity purchasing, delivering best value for the council and its residents
  • Represent the council with external contractors, partners, and other organizations
  • Provide advice to cabinet members and directors on energy and sustainability
  • Manage two positions: Climate Change & Energy Project Manager and Sustainability & Energy Officer
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in energy procurement and contract management
  • Strong knowledge of energy markets and strategic purchasing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior officers and councillors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
