About the Role

Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

EMBS Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud and virtual environments.
  • Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Lead IT projects, including system migrations, communication upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Mentor and grow a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards, and coordinate health and safety across the IT team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large IT infrastructures, including Azure and virtual environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365).
  • Leadership experience in IT, with a track record of delivering major infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in ISO 27001/9001 compliance.
  • Strong budget management and vendor relationship skills.
  • Desirable: Microsoft Azure certifications, ITIL Foundation, and IOSH certification in Managing Safety.
