We are currently in search of a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our commercial growth in the Midlands region. This role involves generating new sales leads and expanding our network of contacts while managing our rapidly growing sales pipeline.

This is a full-time position that will require national travel, with potential for some international travel as well. It is essential that candidates have a proven track record and reside within the region.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new business channels within a designated region, generating opportunities through a robust network of contacts.
  • Leverage existing relationships, including clinical networks, to identify sales opportunities for our products.
  • Organize client visits and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the revenue and digital solutions teams to deliver compelling product pitches.
  • Participate in exhibitions, conferences, and meetings to achieve sales targets.
  • Gather market intelligence and insights on prospective clients.
  • Create tailored value propositions using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Work closely with clients to develop specific business cases.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to execute a strategic business plan as part of a coordinated commercial approach.
  • Maintain an accurate record of the active sales pipeline, ensuring delivery on existing leads and overseeing the generation of new sales opportunities.
  • Regularly review sales performance and strategy in relation to targets.
  • Identify new product opportunities by staying informed on industry trends, market activities, and competitor movements.
  • Report key metrics and potential market opportunities to senior management.
  • Enhance and maintain the client base through account management and upselling activities.

  • Good grasp of medical terminology.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid driving license or access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness to undertake regular regional and occasional national and international travel for business development and learning opportunities.
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding sales targets.
  • Over five years of business development or sales experience in the healthcare or software sector, preferably within the region.
  • A strong digital healthcare network in the Midlands is essential.
  • A deep understanding of the NHS landscape is highly desirable.
