Your Mission

As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities across the South West region. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Maintaining and servicing plant and equipment, including gas boilers/appliances (domestic and commercial) and LPG systems, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Identifying required spare parts, ordering them through appropriate channels, and ensuring timely completion of repairs within contractual timeframes.
  • Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works conducted on-site.
  • Supervising subcontractors, ensuring adherence to method statements, risk assessments, and safe execution of works.
  • Monitoring stock levels for related items and placing orders as needed.
  • Providing support for associated services within project facilities, including general plumbing work, statutory inspection and testing of mechanical and electrical systems, and managing minor works projects.
  • Pricing up minor work jobs and obtaining quotations for materials.
  • Contributing to health and safety responsibilities within project facilities.
  • Providing general support duties.
  • Ensuring the operation of heating plant, fire alarm systems, and lighting systems.
  • Carrying out meter readings for utility consumption.
  • Participating in the on-call roster.
  • Performing other reasonable tasks as required.
Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Technician with a proven track record in a busy service environment and relevant gas or electrical qualifications. You should possess:

  • Experience in maintenance and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including plumbing, boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting.
  • The ability to read, understand, and diagnose faults using as-installed drawings, as-installed schedules, contract specifications, and equipment documentation.
  • A full driving license.
  • Reliability, strong communication skills, and organizational abilities.
  • The initiative to effectively manage day-to-day duties.
