The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Manufacturing Engineer at Warburtons, you will work in collaborative shift teams alongside production, safety, and hygiene departments. You will perform planned and preventative maintenance, utilizing your engineering expertise to develop robust, long-term solutions.

  • Tackle a wide range of tasks, from general plant maintenance to enhancing plant reliability and proactively diagnosing issues.
  • Work in a cutting-edge, highly automated 24/7 food manufacturing environment.
  • Foster and implement new ideas and perspectives while driving continuous improvement.
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing plant efficiency, reducing downtime, and saving energy and associated costs.
Essential Ingredients
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance in preferably a food manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with H&S and Food Safety systems and legislation (e.g., PUWER, IOSH).
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Understanding of PLC and control systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent).
