Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team at a reputable primary school in the Bradford area.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small provision attached to the primary school, supporting pupils with SEMH needs. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be part of a strong staff team, working together to create a supportive and positive environment for pupils and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a warm and caring relationship with pupils, providing emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively, using assertive yet empathetic approaches.
  • Liaise with other staff to ensure pupils can access learning and stay happy in school.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, using clear and concise language.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Some knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Resilience and patience when working with challenging behaviour.
