Role Overview

In this pivotal role within a compact design team embedded in a larger marketing department, you will contribute significantly to the evolution of Pulsar Group's brand identity while upholding high design standards. Your responsibilities will include crafting engaging visual materials for both digital and print formats that resonate with our target demographics, exploring innovative visual strategies to articulate our brand message, and fostering growth.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Brand and Design, who will assist you in managing your workload, identifying creative solutions, setting objectives, determining training requirements, and ensuring a clear pathway for your professional development.

This dynamic position may involve a variety of tasks, such as collaborating with the Vuelio content manager on assets for social media campaigns, supporting the Pulsar team in creating promotional materials for events, or partnering with the Pulsar Head of Content on creative campaign elements.

Our team comprises specialists in content creation, events, product marketing, paid media, stakeholder engagement, research, social media, and email marketing. You will work in tandem with colleagues to provide design support across the Group and its individual brands—Vuelio, ResponseSource, and Pulsar—each with its unique brand character and target audience, necessitating versatility in design for various formats and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creative design process for projects from inception to completion, developing concepts and taking ownership to deliver results that exceed expectations.
  • Apply design principles across multiple formats, including print advertisements, digital assets, websites, and event displays.
  • Engage in campaign and creative planning, collaborating with the marketing team to contribute ideas and support all aspects of campaign execution.
  • Design and refresh client product literature, applying and enhancing corporate branding guidelines.
  • Create new visual brand materials for clients and prospects, including concept development.
  • Develop templates for email campaigns, partnering with the Email manager to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Design online advertisements, collaborating with the Marketing Performance team to maximize impact.
  • Produce internal communication materials, working with the Group head of HR to improve team engagement.
  • Collaborate with the web development team to refine website designs.
  • Design promotional materials for events, working with the Events Manager to create compelling booths and merchandise.
  • Contribute to RFPs and final artwork submissions.
  • Manage project timelines to meet agreed deadlines, utilizing project management tools to track progress.
  • Maintain a well-organized asset filing system.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.
  • Strong grasp of design fundamentals, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
  • Ability to manage projects effectively under tight deadlines, proactively engage stakeholders, and prioritize tasks across multiple projects with managerial support.
  • Creative mindset with a knack for developing innovative visual solutions.
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating and presenting design concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality design assets.
  • Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to ensure brand consistency while incorporating innovative design elements.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD.
  • Solid understanding of Google Suite.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in video editing.
  • Animation skills, particularly with Adobe Animate.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Experience with After Effects.
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
