About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Reinsurance Accountant to join our team at MS Amlin. As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a critical role in supporting our strategic objectives and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership and responsibility for all outwards reinsurance transactions in the financial result, including reconciliations and control of automated transactions.
  • Manual processing for non-standard outwards reinsurance contracts.
  • Responsibility for intra-group reinsurance submissions and reinsurance bad debt calculations.
  • First point-of-contact for auditors and downstream reporting.
  • Secondary responsibility for inwards insurance and reserving transactions.

Requirements

  • Accounting qualifications and strong Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of insurance accounting and ideally Lloyd's Market experience.
  • Good communication skills and experience with Oracle general ledger.
  • Strong controls and reconciliations experience.
