Senior Safety Engineer - Aerospace

Holt Executive is proud to partner with a leading aerospace technology innovator, providing cutting-edge defence and commercial solutions to the aerospace, aviation, land, and sea industries. As a Senior Safety Engineer - Aerospace, you will play a critical role in the Mission Avionics team, leading the delivery of system safety activities and ensuring compliance with strategic and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Safety Management Plans to ensure the safe design and development of aerospace products.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers to create product specifications that meet safety standards.
  • Contribute to and provide evidence to support product Certificate of Design release, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support ongoing airworthiness and safe-life assessment for in-service products, maintaining a Hazard Log and providing advice to Airworthiness and Design Signatories.
  • Chair Safety & Hazard Review Boards to ensure effective risk management and mitigation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in system safety engineering, with a strong understanding of aerospace regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and deliver against business projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compile and present complex safety data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
