About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Coleraine site, the largest processed cheese manufacturer in the UK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting planned and reactive maintenance across our 4 local manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance of our manufacturing plants, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Carry out detailed planned maintenance work in line with PPM schedules.
  • Perform reactive repairs to maintain plant availability.
  • Be actively involved in new installations, commissioning, and ramp-up activities.
  • Contribute to our site energy reduction team, reducing our CO2/TTO emissions.
  • Collaborate with other functions on site, including Quality and Operations.
Requirements
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic maintenance.
  • Food safety or manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
  • Mechanical or electrical knowledge, with dual-skilled preferable.
  • Working knowledge of PLC control.
