We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Development Manager to join our team at The Advocate Group. As a key member of our FMCG recruitment team, you will be responsible for driving category growth and implementing category strategies for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies to drive growth and improve category performance
- Work closely with internal teams to align strategies and maximize growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with key grocery retail customers to create and implement strategies that improve category performance and drive growth
- Develop plans around product selection, placement, pricing, and promotion in collaboration with customers and internal teams
- Provide insights to influence product selection and merchandising decisions with key accounts
- Continuously review product performance and recommend changes as needed
- Analyse market data and consumer research to generate insights that drive sales
- Use these insights to shape new product development and in-store/online execution strategies
- Proven success in a Category Management role within the FMCG industry
- Experience with multi-channel strategies and knowledge of major UK retailer accounts
- Strong project management and planning abilities
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
