Job Summary:

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a product development strategy that aligns with the company's business goals.
  2. Monitor market developments and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and optimization of product positioning.
  3. Responsible for outcome modeling and creation of business requirements for key stakeholders.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the product portfolio and apply insight to inform and guide the business.
  5. Lead the analysis, reporting, and reviews of the product portfolio to ensure they remain competitive, fit for purpose, and meet market needs.
  6. Collaborate with retailers, commercial, and product teams to generate insight, explore opportunities, and challenges, and develop roadmaps for Vispring across the product portfolio.
  7. Coordinate New Product Development (NPD) based on market research, inputs from the markets, interior designers, design trend-setters, and R&D/operations.
  8. Write the product brief, lead the NPD committee, deliver against launch milestones, develop, and distribute all product launch materials.
  9. Present new products at trade fairs and sell them to the sales force and retail partners.
  10. Constantly analyze the business from a product point of view and take corrective actions.
  11. Ensure a constant stream of relevant and value-added innovation.
  12. Understand the requirements of a global business and adapt the product where and when necessary.
  13. Manage new product launches over time and over different markets.
  14. Look at the product life cycle of each line and proactively take corrective measures.
  15. Optimize the product portfolio to fuel growth of net sales and margin.
  16. Publish competitive reviews, prepare product fact sheets, write sales arguments, and train the trainer.
  17. Manage the NPD budget.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Total net sales and gross margin (75%).
  2. Product P&L.
  3. Impact of NPD in terms of net sales and gross margin growth.
  4. Product obsolescence.

Qualifications:

  1. University degree or suitable alternative qualifications.
  2. Min. 5 years of relevant experience in marketing (junior or product manager).
  3. Good analytical skills and communications skills and very result-oriented.
  4. Experience in project management and working independently.
  5. Ability to work in a small organization, hands-on, and team player.

Work Place & Travel:

Time split between London & Plymouth offices with trips to markets and fairs (max 20%).
