Position Overview:
As a key member of the Resolution Team, reporting to the Resolution Team Manager, you will oversee the management of new insolvency cases and facilitate the resolution of customer claims in collaboration with regulatory bodies, insolvency practitioners, brokers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage regularly with relevant stakeholders, including insolvency practitioners and brokers of the firms under your management.
- Monitor and manage the progress of each case, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives for the resolution of the failed firm.
- Collaborate closely with runoff agents to optimize processes, ensuring favorable outcomes for customers and levy payers.
- Utilize management information to effectively oversee claims management, including new claims, open claims, and reserving practices.
- Provide technical support and authorize valid payments for insurance claims, adhering to required service level agreements.
- Facilitate large claims management within the estate, representing customer interests during settlement discussions.
- Ensure the proper closure of estates, coordinating any follow-up activities as required.
- Deliver training on claims processes to relevant parties to enhance understanding and compliance.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of claims handling across various insurance products.
- Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with all parties involved.
- Expertise in FSCS, FCA, and PRA regulations and procedures.
- Technical proficiency in claims assessment and management.
- Experience within the financial services sector.
Insurance Knowledge:
- Awareness of operational procedures in insurance claims management.
- Understanding of Policyholder Protection Rules and their implications.
- Knowledge of insurance contract law and its application in claims resolution.
