Job Overview

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager to join our team.

This is a key role for a key offshore wind farm developer based in the UK, requiring 80% remote work with occasional travel to the client's office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and recommend offshore installation concepts and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Prepare technical tender documents and negotiate installation contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage offshore installation contractors and monitor their performance to ensure delivery of high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement HAZID/HAZOP procedures for installation design and offshore operations.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the project manager, highlighting technical risks and developing contingency plans.
  • Supervise and approve installation activities, including trailing, tool development, loading, and vessel setup.
  • Manage client representatives and QA daily progress reports.
  • Ensure design quality and QAS are aligned with supplier quality input.
  • Manage product NCR and review method statements from suppliers.
  • Review product and as-built documentation during the execution phase.
  • Knowledge of array cable installation, cable load out, cable laying, cable pulling, and cable protection systems is essential.
