Role Overview

As a Software Development Team Lead within our Client Facing Technology (CFT) team, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining Client Connectivity Platforms that serve the Global Broking, Energy & Commodities, and Liquidnet divisions. These platforms leverage both in-house and vendor-provided software solutions.

Role Responsibilities

  • You'll be a hands-on leader, actively developing software, guiding developers, and influencing architectural decisions to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Design and build robust client connectivity applications that prioritize maintainability, stability, performance, and scalability.
  • Collaborate effectively with Architecture, Quality Assurance (QA), Business Analysts, Product Managers, Project Managers/Agile Scrum Leads, Support Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment as part of a dedicated team, contributing your expertise and fostering a positive work atmosphere.

Experience / Competences

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience leading development teams, conducting performance appraisals, and providing technical reviews.
  • Deep understanding of the Broking/Trading/Banking business domain.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Extensive experience building systems using the FIX Protocol.
  • Senior-level proficiency in Java development.
  • Strong command of a scripting language such as JavaScript or Python.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab or GitHub.
  • Experience deploying and configuring applications within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, including EC2, ELB, EKS, and AMIs.
  • Proven ability to develop software using Agile methodologies.
  • Level 3 Support experience for production systems.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Rapid Addition Platform or other FIX Messaging Hubs.
  • Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as Ansible, Jenkins, Groovy, and Teamcity.
  • Experience with database technologies and SQL.
  • Knowledge of messaging platforms like Solace.
  • Experience developing/delivering software within a SAFe framework.
