Learning and Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Manager to join our HR Department. This is a field-based role with regular travel as part of the position, and you will be provided with a company car.
Motus Truck and Van is a leading provider of commercial vehicles and fleet solutions. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, reliable Mercedes-Benz vehicles to our customers, and our van sales division plays a crucial part in our success.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the overall Learning & Development strategy aligned with business goals.
- Identify learning and skill gaps through needs assessments, performance reviews, and consultation with key stakeholders.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate a variety of learning programs, including e-learning, workshops, leadership development, technical skills training, and soft skills training.
- Implement innovative learning methods such as blended learning, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
- Work with technical resources to support technical training.
- Oversee the creation of career development paths for employees across different roles and levels.
- Work with department heads to ensure that all employees have an effective training plan in place.
- Measure and assess the impact of training programs on performance and business results.
- Use feedback and data to continuously improve learning initiatives and ensure high ROI.
- Create and obtain sign off on L&D business cases to secure budget for L&D activities.
- Manage the L&D budget, including negotiating contracts with external providers and ensuring cost-effectiveness of programs.
- Work with the H&S manager, HR and other key stakeholders to identify and support the effective training of compliance and best practice activities.
- Manage the MTV aspects of the online apprentice service account and all apprenticeship administration.
- Ensure all apprentices have apprenticeships in place and work with managers to maximise the potential of apprenticeships.
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing L&D strategies and programs.
- Ability to travel to sites across all MTV sites when required.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in learning technologies and adult learning principles.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
