At Wabtec Corporation, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in the rail industry. As a Test Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our products.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for the installation, testing, and validation of rail engines, transmission, powerpacks, and cooler groups. You'll work closely with our production team to ensure that products meet the highest testing requirements, and that accurate data is recorded for traceability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installation and testing of production power products in line with work instructions
  • Ensuring products meet testing requirements
  • Recording accurate data for traceability
  • Updating documentation and records
  • Developing testing requirements for future products
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Liaising with production on technical issues
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and mentoring trainees/apprentices
  • Collecting failure data and providing feedback to Engineering
  • Working overtime as required
  • Adhering to company Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements
  • Carrying out additional duties as instructed by your line manager
