Job Description

GardPass Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Data Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of technical solutions for all maritime afloat tasking, troubleshooting, and technical refresh/upgrade of system hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of ship surveys prior to CIS installation;
  • Provide technical support for assigned systems, including hardware and software maintenance;
  • Ensure all technical documentation is prepared, stored, and kept up-to-date;
  • Report configuration control data to the Core Section Head in a timely manner;
  • Provide remote support for Flagship handovers for participating nations;
  • Maintain close liaison with other technicians and engineers within the CSU and NCI Agency.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in VMware Virtualisation technology;
  • Knowledge of SAN technology;
  • Knowledge and experience in Windows workstation imaging techniques;
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Server Technologies; Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange;
  • Knowledge and experience in Application Server technologies;
  • Knowledge of ITIL IT service management model;
  • Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management processes and experience in this area;
  • Ability to write technical documentation and user guides;
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, using rigorous logic and methods to solve complex problems. They will also have a customer-focused approach, prioritizing customer needs and satisfaction.
