Job Summary:

This exciting opportunity involves working within a fast-growing general insurance team at a renowned global consultancy, engaging with a variety of clients and diverse projects. The Senior Manager will lead the team, develop market opportunities, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead client engagement teams and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive business growth and client satisfaction.
  2. Provide high-quality advisory services to clients, leveraging expertise in actuarial functions and market knowledge.
  3. Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  4. Perform reserving for clients in the Lloyd's / London Market, including for Lloyd's Statements of Actuarial Opinion and Solvency II Technical Provisions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  5. Contribute to thought leadership via publications, training events, seminars, and conferences, showcasing expertise and industry insights.
  6. Develop new products and services that meet client needs and drive business growth.
  7. Share knowledge and mentor team members to enhance skills and capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Strong actuarial function experience, ideally an IFoA qualified actuary or equivalent, with a deep understanding of the industry.
  2. Significant Lloyd's / London Market reserving or pricing experience, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Knowledge of the Lloyd's market and its complexities, with the ability to navigate and advise clients effectively.
  4. Ability to manage multiple engagements and implement tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  5. Strong relationship-building skills for business development, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
  6. Excellent technical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  7. Strong project and people management skills, with experience in leading teams and driving results.
  8. Curiosity and adaptability to new approaches, with a willingness to learn and evolve in a fast-paced industry.
  9. Consulting experience and market exposure, with a deep understanding of the industry and its trends.
