Job Summary:

Biffa Waste Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loader Operative to join our team. As a Loader Operative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and remove waste from designated collection points, adhering to contract specifications and health and safety guidelines.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve collection targets and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Assist drivers with reversing and maneuvering vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Record and report any issues or concerns related to waste collection, including missed bins and additional work.
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

Class 2 training and ability to operate machinery safely. Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills and ability to use company systems.
