About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Service Instructor to join our team at the Fire Service College. As a Fire Service Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to new recruits in both classroom and practical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver training programs for new recruits in firefighting techniques and procedures.
- Assess and evaluate the performance of trainees to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Act as a Safety Officer during live fire exercises, promoting a positive attitude towards health and safety.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement training materials and programs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in training new recruits in a firefighting environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of IT systems and experience with Microsoft Office.
- Desirable: experience working in a local authority Fire & Rescue Service.
