The Role: Employment Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Employment Support Specialist to join our Employment and Skills Lancashire team. In this impactful role, you will guide individuals who are currently unemployed or inactive in the job market, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver impactful employability programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with local businesses to understand their needs and connect our clients with relevant opportunities.
  • Provide personalized support, guidance, and training to empower individuals to develop confidence and overcome employment challenges.
  • Actively engage with clients, fostering a supportive environment that encourages participation in workshops, job clubs, and individual sessions.
  • Identify and leverage local, regional, and national initiatives to expand access to employment and training opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with other professionals in the employment, welfare, and training sectors.

Your Qualifications:

  • A full UK driver's license is required.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in areas such as IAG Level 2, Coaching, or Mentoring.
  • Proven success in working with clients aged 16+ years and supporting them in gaining employment or pursuing training opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients facing multiple barriers and provide tailored support.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
