We are excited to present an opportunity for Care Support Specialists to become part of our welcoming team at our dedicated service. Our exceptional staff recognize the importance of a holistic approach to ensure that those we support are safe, content, and healthy. Our facility is designed to provide assistance to adults with acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions. It features spacious single bedrooms, communal areas for relaxation and dining, a fully equipped kitchen, and a separate laundry area. Additionally, we have a specialized bathroom equipped with a modified bath and ceiling track hoist. The premises are wheelchair accessible, with a lift to facilitate movement between floors. Situated within a vibrant community, we encourage our residents to engage with the broader opportunities available in their surroundings.

We also offer a dedicated therapy space where residents can collaborate with our partner organization on personalized therapy programs, including Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, with access to Speech and Language Therapy as needed to enhance their quality of life.

Our easily accessible garden provides a safe and secure environment for residents to enjoy the outdoors.

Your Role:

  • Full-time position
  • 42 hours per week
  • Rotational schedule

Your Responsibilities:

  • Foster open and reciprocal relationships with residents
  • Assist residents in their rehabilitation journey, collaborating with multidisciplinary therapists
  • Develop effective communication methods with residents, overcoming barriers through innovative practices
  • Support residents in meeting their hydration and nutritional needs while maintaining their physical well-being
  • Provide assistance with daily living activities and personal care, respecting individual choices and dignity
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues, residents, families, and other professionals
  • Document and report care provided accurately

Your Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for delivering person-centered care
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Experience in the care sector or mental health is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Successful candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS check
