Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of thermal management systems for high-performance electric vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
  • CAD Design and simulation of thermal management systems, including heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials science.
  • Conduct detailed stress analysis to ensure structural integrity under various operating conditions, including thermal and mechanical loads.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal and stress considerations into product designs, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
  • Perform simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to predict thermal behavior and mechanical stress distribution, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize materials and designs to achieve the best balance between performance, cost, and durability, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Validate designs through prototyping, testing, and analysis of real-world performance data, ensuring that designs meet or exceed performance expectations.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers in the team, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal management and stress analysis, with a proven track record of designing and optimizing systems under varying thermal and mechanical loads.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar FEA software.
  • Strong background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and materials science, with a deep understanding of thermal dynamics and structural integrity.
  • Experience with product development processes, from concept through to production, with a focus on thermal management and stress analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
