About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join our client's London-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing an enterprise-wide data architecture, supporting the development of the organisation's functional data strategy and roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver World-Class Data Capability: Enable the business to realise value through consistent, accurate, reliable, and high-quality data and innovative data, reporting, and analytical solutions.
  • Reinvent Real-Time Data Automation: Embed the right control points in Agile processes to achieve strong compliance and balanced velocity, while reducing friction between data governance, information architecture, and data engineering teams.
  • Develop and Deliver Big Data Solutions: Enable a step change of insight into high volumes of data across global business functions.
  • Lead Changes to Data Capabilities: Anticipate changes to the business' strategic direction using the full capabilities in the data systems & insights centres of excellence.
  • Develop Requirements and Principles: Craft the requirements, principles, models, and designs for the future-state enterprise data and analytics architecture.
  • Carry Out Gap Analysis: Evaluate the gap between the future-state and current-state data architectures, and work with other enterprise architects to develop roadmaps for the careful and planned transition to the future state.
  • Evaluate Emerging Trends: Assess the impacts of emerging trends such as big data, open data, and linked data on the future-state enterprise data architecture.
  • Champion Enterprise Information Solutions: Improve business performance through master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
  • Coordinate Enterprise Data Architecture: Implement enterprise data architecture through the organisation's enterprise data management programmes and govern data architects in the appropriate data modelling and data design activities.
  • Facilitate Corporate Data Policy: Develop a corporate data policy that outlines the appropriate data stewardship and data requirements, as well as the service-level agreements, to support the appropriate quality and use of information in business processes.
  • Prepare Conceptual and Logical Models: Develop conceptual and logical subject area models and implementation-level details that affect the continuum of disciplines involved in the architecture, design, implementation, and management of enterprise information.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Degree Level Education: Degree level educated or equivalent project-related experience.
  • Experience in Financial Services Industry: Experience in large multinational financial services industry.
  • Enterprise Data Engineering or Architecture Experience: Experience within an enterprise data engineering or architecture role.
  • Cloud Data and Analytics Experience: In-depth experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide cloud data and analytics platforms.
  • Large Scale Data Management Solutions: Hands-on architecture and delivery experience in large scale, multi-functional data management solutions.
  • Master Data Management and Data Quality: Hands-on experience architecting and implementing large scale multi-field master data management, data lake, business intelligence, data warehouse, and data quality solutions.
  • Enterprise Knowledge Graph Capability: Experience in architecting enterprise knowledge graph capability from design to implementation.
