THE OPPORTUNITY:
Altus Partners is collaborating with a leading financial services and technology organization in the UK that is experiencing rapid expansion. In light of substantial growth and private equity backing, they are in search of a seasoned and proactive FP&A expert to join their finance division and oversee the FP&A operations during a transformative phase. As the Vice President of FP&A, you will assume complete responsibility for planning and analysis, serving as a crucial liaison for senior stakeholders throughout the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and execute financial strategies that align with the company's vision and growth objectives.
- Data Insights: Enhance business intelligence by establishing appropriate KPIs, trends, and forecasts aimed at boosting revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Operational Transformation: Focus on elevating the output and quality of FP&A while ensuring the implementation of effective processes and controls.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with business unit leaders to deliver financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Long-term Planning: Manage the long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain intricate financial models to project future financial outcomes and aid strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify and execute enhancements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.
- Strategic Input: Provide critical financial insights to the executive team and private equity stakeholders.
- Investor Relations: Assist the Head of Finance with data and key management information for private equity investors, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding financial updates and performance reports.
- Business Plan Monitoring: Oversee the implementation and execution of both financial and broader commercial business plans.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to gather and analyze data, ensuring accurate and timely financial performance reporting.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively convey financial analyses and recommendations to executive leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated success as a Senior FP&A Manager, Head of FP&A, or equivalent in a growth-oriented organization with complex corporate finance responsibilities.
- Over 8 years of post-qualification experience.
- A robust finance background, with qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant, or CIMA, and a proven track record in senior finance roles within growth-focused companies.
- Experience in the Financial Services sector.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and exceptional PowerPoint skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating financial concepts to both financial and non-financial audiences.
