Job Summary

We are seeking an Analyst to act as primary analytical support for debt capital markets bankers in the origination of investment grade corporate public bonds. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing marketing documents, managing and analyzing data, running the internal preparation process ahead of a deal, and conducting financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare marketing documents, including pricing updates, pitch materials, offering materials, roadshow marketing materials, and management presentations.
  • Manage and analyze data to support debt capital markets bankers.
  • Run the internal preparation process ahead of a deal, liaising with stakeholders including corporate bankers, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Conduct financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction.
  • Participate in due diligence calls and other client interactions, gaining exposure to key executives and senior bankers.
  • Participate in the execution and pricing of transactions in the global debt capital markets, liaising and working with DCM teams at other banks.
Requirements
  • Experience in Investment Banking or equivalent, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills, with the ability to problem solve.
  • High level of personal motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and work quality standards.
  • Able to learn quickly and apply critical thinking skills to achieve objectives for both internal and external clients.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, including coordinating multiple work streams and delivering against tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial statements.
  • Proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint to clearly present trends and themes.
  • Ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders in a confident and professional manner, adapting to different personality types.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional language skills, including French, German, and Spanish, are a plus.
  • Previous debt capital markets experience preferred.
  • Proven academic performance, with a BSc/BA level education strongly preferred.
