About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bestwood Village School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and well-being of our pupils with Autism and additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering educational programs and activities
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources
  • Provide emotional and physical support to pupils, promoting their independence and self-confidence
  • Participate in outdoor activities and excursions, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans

Requirements

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced educational environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other support staff
  • Knowledge of Autism and its impact on learning and behavior
  • Relevant experience working with children with special needs
