We are seeking a dedicated Exam Team Fitter to contribute to our operations. This role is based in our depot and offers a competitive salary along with an array of benefits.

Contract Details:

This is a permanent position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, operating on a 4 on 4 off shift basis from 07:00 to 18:00.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Exam Team Fitter, you will report to the team leader and be tasked with:

  • Executing maintenance tasks on rail vehicles according to established procedures
  • Collaborating with the exam team to service customer vehicles
  • Identifying and addressing faults as they arise
  • Operating rail vehicles within depot limits
  • Adhering to safety protocols and documentation requirements
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of work sheets

Qualifications Required:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably in Rail Traction & Rolling Stock
  • A solid understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering principles
  • Experience with Mark 3, Mark 4 Coaching stock, and 15X DMUs is desirable
