Our helpline is a complimentary, confidential telephone service that provides companionship, conversation, and assistance to older individuals, available 24/7.
As a representative of Age UK Group, you will serve as the initial point of contact for incoming calls from older adults seeking support or simply a friendly discussion. The dynamic nature of the helpline means that each day will present unique challenges, requiring you to be flexible and responsive to various situations. This rewarding role is ideal for a personable individual with strong communication abilities and a commitment to maintaining high standards, emphasizing empathy, patience, and understanding.
In collaboration with this supportive team, you will follow all safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety of callers from potential harm or neglect.
* We have 3 part-time positions available, each requiring 21 hours of overnight shifts.
These rewarding roles offer a hybrid working model, allowing for a blend of remote work and office presence. Candidates should be prepared to attend the office at least once a week.
