About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our team at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. As a leading law firm, we are committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Department Director and work closely with the team to provide expert advice to clients who have suffered medical negligence.
  • Manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases, including birth injuries, cosmetic surgery, dental/hospital negligence, medical misdiagnosis, and medical/surgical negligence.
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with correspondence, preparing cases, and attending clients to take instructions.
  • Maintain accurate time costing procedures and ensure compliance with file management.
  • Implement recommendations made by the supervisor following monthly file reviews.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury.
  • A clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying.
  • A committed team player with excellent client care skills and the ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use own initiative and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of Clinical Negligence work and the ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with Clinical Negligence related work.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
