Clinical Negligence Department Overview:

Our dedicated team provides compassionate and expert guidance to families affected by medical negligence or injury during treatment. We assist clients in pursuing 'no win no fee' claims for compensation, ensuring they receive the support they need throughout the claims process. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including birth injuries, cosmetic surgery issues, dental negligence, and medical misdiagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Department Director.
  • Maintain a professional and proactive approach, demonstrating strong client care skills and a sensitive understanding of client needs.
  • Manage all aspects of clinical negligence cases, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members as necessary.
  • Handle a diverse caseload with varying complexities.
  • Assist with casework, including managing cases issued at court, with a solid understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and protocols.
  • Conduct client meetings, gather instructions, and prepare cases effectively.
  • Manage correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations from monthly file reviews promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with file management standards.
Essential Skills:
  • 2-4 years of experience in clinical negligence and personal injury law.
  • A clean, valid Practicing Certificate is required at the time of application.
  • A committed team player who adapts well to new challenges.
  • Previous supervisory experience and familiarity with key performance indicators is advantageous.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent client care skills, capable of addressing client matters sensitively.
  • Strong networking and communication skills to effectively market the firm and generate new business.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of clinical negligence law and experience with privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in handling clinical negligence-related work.
  • Advocacy experience is a plus.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and document management.
