About Standing Tall
Standing Tall is dedicated to eradicating homelessness by providing personalized support and connecting individuals facing homelessness with stable employment and secure housing. Our approach emphasizes the importance of a stable job and a safe home, creating a sustainable pathway for those we assist to transition away from homelessness permanently. Our success is evident, with 80% of individuals we support remaining off the streets and employed one year later.
When individuals are prepared, we facilitate their placement into stable, real Living Wage jobs with our employer partners, which include notable organizations such as Network Rail, Amey, and Lambe Construction. Concurrently, we ensure that these individuals have access to safe housing through our Amici hosting service, preparing them for independent living after six months.
Since our inception in Birmingham in 2020, we have expanded our operations to London and Manchester in 2022, with plans to extend our reach to Liverpool, Leeds, and Bristol. By the end of the year, we aim to establish a presence in the East Midlands, allowing us to double the number of individuals we assist annually from 50 to over 100. Our commitment to growth was recognized when we received Social Enterprise UK's 'One to Watch' Award last November, and we aspire to expand our services to major cities across the UK.
Role Overview
The Head of Partnerships will focus on two primary objectives:
1. **Revenue Generation**: Standing Tall operates as a trading charity, generating income through placement fees charged to our employer partners. Currently, traded income covers approximately 50% of our operational costs. The Head of Partnerships will collaborate with the CEO to forge new partnerships with responsible businesses, aiming to increase this figure to at least 70%.
2. **Charitable Income Growth**: The Head of Partnerships will also work to enhance Standing Tall's charitable revenue. By positioning our organization as a solution for businesses seeking to combat homelessness, we will target corporate audiences for fundraising efforts. Utilizing lean startup methodologies, the Head of Partnerships will partner with the CEO to cultivate relationships with corporations, with the goal of increasing charitable donations by £40,000 in the first year, £90,000 in the second year, and £140,000 in the third year.
To support these initiatives, the Head of Partnerships will receive guidance from one of our trustees, who possesses extensive experience in Corporate Partnerships management.
Benefits
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement for four days a week, combining remote work with occasional office attendance and travel within England.
Standing Tall provides an employment contract with an annual salary of £46,000 pro rata and a NEST pension plan.

We are seeking a candidate who:

- Possesses a proven track record in multiple business functions, including marketing and sales, business development in recruitment or the homelessness sector, management of high-value relationships, fundraising, CSR, and employer engagement.
- Demonstrates strong commercial acumen, identifying opportunities to generate financial surpluses and contribute to a sustainable business model.
- Commits to delivering high-quality relationship management and communication, ensuring alignment with organizational key messages for external audiences.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills, collaborating effectively with others to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Possesses financial competence, capable of assessing and reporting on the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
- Understands corporate responsibility and has experience negotiating contracts.
