Job Summary:

Thomas Lee Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sheet Metal Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-precision sheet metal components for various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable designs that meet strict specifications.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that optimize product performance, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on sheet metal design and fabrication.
  • Manage product Bills of Materials (BOM) within our ERP system and liaise with purchasing to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Provide technical support during the introduction of new and existing products in manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and product costing.
  • Experience working in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment with a focus on precision metal fabrication.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Sheet Metal Design software, and PDM systems.
  • Experience with LVD and Amada Press brake software is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
