Maintenance/Engineering Technician

Hours: 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, Rotating Shift

Your role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician to join our Engineering team at our York site.
The Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment.
As an experienced Engineering Technician, you will be able to complete the designated preventative maintenance tasks, identify potential failures, and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks. Identifying potential engineering/operational solutions to reoccurring failures and implementing and completing resolutions will also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment
- Identify potential failures and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks
- Implement and complete resolutions to reoccurring failures
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems, and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical, and electrical drawings would be beneficial
Requirements:
- A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering-related subject, ideally Mechatronics, is required
- 5 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
